Peace Tree Mural

What inspired you to take up the project?

For IDP 2025, I chose this activity because peace isn’t something one person can bring alone. It needs everyone’s effort. Just like how a barren tree turned beautiful when everyone added their thumbprints, our world too can become peaceful and colourful when we all work together.

What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?

From the peace tree mural, I realised that even a simple activity can carry a big message. While we were working on it, I could remind everyone that peace and love are what truly make our world beautiful—just like the colourful tree we created together.

Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?

The Peace Tree Mural began with a bare tree, evoking feelings of sadness and hopelessness. Scouts, staff, ESP, and GSP added thumbprints as leaves, transforming it into a symbol of beauty, hope, and happiness. The activity highlighted that peace, like the tree, flourishes through collective effort and unity.
