The Peace Run in Indonesia

Although it was only in a short notice information, more than 100 Rovers and Senior Rovers from Gerakan Pramuka – the Indonesia Scout Movement – participated in the Peace Run held by the Messengers of Peace (MoP) Coordinator and Volunteers at Serpong, South Tangerang, Banten Province, on Sunday, 25th September 2016. The activity was held to commemorated the International Peace Day. The Peace Run started at the German Centre Park and officialy released by Berthold Sinaulan (Scout leader and one of the MoP volunteers), Haris Nizam ( movie director and the Indonesian MoP Ambassador), and Venny Indri Christiyanti (the MoP Indonesia Coordinator). After only three kilometers ran, all participants safely finished at the Serpong City Park. Then, organized by Erwin Samuel Ramli (one of the MoP volunteers), all participants made their peace pledge by promised to more and more involved in any peace activities. Then, every one signed the peace pledge banner to demonstrate their commitment to peace. They also gathered together to performed the MoP dance, and at the end, they spread the colourful “holy powder” as the symbol to spread peace among every human.
