Peace day.

International day of peace is celebrated worldwide. This day is celebrated around the world to strengthen the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. This year’s peace day theme was , “ Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world”. We the kalapang primary school were overjoyed to celebrate the international day of peace in the school. It helped our students to at least take a day off from their normal routine and get engaged in other activities. Due to COVID 19, it has been difficult for both teachers and students to celebrate any activity or occasion in the school. After the government announced the relaxation and Dzongkhag administration pledged us to celebrate the day, we were all pleased and started preparing. During the international day our celebrated the day like any other school in the country by: 1. Offering butter lamp. 2. Hosting of prayer flag. 3. Sung the scout camp song and national anthem. 4. Reciting the fifth king’s zhaptoen. 5. Enlightening the students about world peace day. 6. A talk on sex education by the principal. 7. Aerobic dance. 8. Few games for students. 9. Cleaning campaign around the school surrounding. 10. Lastly the day ended with a lunch. Student and teacher all ate together to wind up the day. The day not only made the students and teacher physically active but it also helped students to gain lots of knowledges. Since the school is located in a remote place, sometimes an occasion like this could really bring exposure.
