Olori Omo-Oba Olusoga Sofolahan-Atibioke becomes Deputy President of Ondo State Scout Council of The Scout Association of Nigeria

As part of developing Scouting at the Grassroot towards the attainment of 100 Million young Scouts that will be agents of positive changes within their Communities, Olori Omo Oba Olusoga Sofolahan-Atibioke, the Former Chief Commissioner. The Scout Association of Nigeria and the current Vice Chairperson of Africa Scout Foundation has been appointed the First Deputy Scout President of Ondo State Scout Council.

Olusoga started Scouting Career at Local Authority Primary School Ilepa Ikare Akoko in 1974, he attained the position of Troop Leader of the 1st Akoko Troop Victory College Ikare  in 1981, he became the Scout Leader of the same Troop in 1985, Group Scout Leader in 1989, Assistant District Commissioner in 1993 respectively. In 1997, Olusoga was appointed Akwa Ibom State Assistant State Training Commissioner, that helped spread Scouting in Akwa Ibom State and International Standard Basic Training tagged “OSO 97” sponsored single-handedly by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited. In 2003, Soga was appointed Lagos State Scout Council, Assistant State Headquarters Commissioner for Scouts in Scouting Activities. Having considered his inputs into developing Scouting in Lagos State; in 2008, he became Lagos State Headquarters Commissioner for Adult in Scouting; the position he was until he was appointed the National Adult in Scouting Commissioner in 2010 through to 2012.

In September 2013 at the National General Assembly Meeting at Sokoto, in Sokoto State; Soga as popularly called was appointed the First Chief Commissioner of Scout Association of Nigeria that was democratically elected by the General Assembly of The Scout Association of Nigeria.

Prior to Olusoga Sofolahan being the Chief Commissioner, Scout of Nigeria, he had been member of the Africa Scout Foundation, he was awarded as: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Awardee and later was appointed to the Board of the Africa Scout Foundation as the Vice Chairperson of the Africa Scout Foundation. Olusoga was equally the Africa Vice Chairperson of the 52 Common Wealth Scouts Associations in Scouting. After the expiration of Term of Office at the National level as National Adult in Scouting Commissioner and The Chief Commissioner Scout of Nigeria respectively, his Ondo State Scout Council has deemed it necessary to further request for his service at the State level as the  First Ondo State Deputy Scout President, as a way of giving back to his immediate Community State, all the Scouting Administrative and Technical Competencies deployed at the Regional and the National levels for the betterment of Scouting and Youth development in Ondo State.
