The Department of the Diversity, Inclusion and Social Impact of the Nigeria Scout Association (DISI) under the headship of Apostle TOLA ADENEKAN JP LT – THE ACC/HOD held its first in the series of States based Leadership Awareness Workshop on Diversity, inclusion and Social impact have been held successfully in Oyo State, South West Nigeria with over 53 participants. The workshop was held at OKE OGUN Baptist Conference Camp Ground at Ago Aare in ATISBIO Local Government Area. The Traditional Ruler of Ago Are, HRM Oba Dr ABODUNRIN OYETUNJI PhD. who declared the workshop open who was earlier invested and decorated in his Palace on Friday 17th June 2106, a day before the Workshop attended in full Scout Uniform as the President of OKE OGUN Division of Oyo State Scout Council declared the Workshop open. The lead facilitator of the workshop, Assistant Chief Commissioner/ Head of Dept of DIVERSITY, inclusion and Social impact was assisted by Acting Oyo State Scout Commissioner, Mr. SEGUN FATOPE and Miss Juliet EIDEIGBE of the Delta State Scout Council.. The Workshop focused on WOSM Triennial plan, Messengers of Peace program, Food for life initiatives, Scout of the World Award as well Gender and special Scouting, Safe from harm and JOTA/JOTI.
