On the dark night of March 25, 1971, the merciless brutality of the Pakistani occupation forces on the Bengalis, Operation Searchlight began. The Rajshahi district administration organized a candlelight vigil at Badg Bhoomi adjacent to Rajshahi T-Barrage in memory of all the unarmed and innocent Bengalis who were martyred in the massacre. Rovers of Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute Scout Group participated in the event and remembered all the brave martyrs with deep respect.
