LSSC HELD HER 2ND MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE IN Y2021 @ HER HEADQUARTERS ON 1, BOY SCOUT WAY, OGUDU, OJOTA, LAGOS.

The Lagos State Scout Council on Saturday 10th April, 2021 held her 2nd Bi-Monthly State Management Committee meeting in Y2021 at her Headquarters seated on 1, Boy Scout Way, Ogudu, Ojota, Lagos. 

The Meeting was Busy with Laudable developments which encapsulate the Meeting Environment.

Notable among the Worthy developments are;
1. Official presentation of the Original Certificate of Occupancy for the Lagos State Scout Council Headquarters by Sir. Ayorinde Thomas (The Olu of Oyingbo) after a Decade. 

Sir. Ayorinde Thomas for public information was the longest serving State Scout Treasurer in Lagos State Scout Council having served meritoriously in the Administrations of Our reputable Former State Scout Commissioners (Engr. Gilbert O. Akinlawon, Dr. Bosun Arilesere and Chief Jonathan Tawose) respectively. 

2. The Face-lifting and upgrade of the Lagos State Scout Council Conference Room to a befitting standard.

The Conference Room is now equipped with new Air Conditioning systems, New Conference Table and Chairs plus an ultra modern sound system, the first of its kind in the entire Nigerian NSO.

3.  The Presentation of the Wood badge Beads and Parchment to Unit Leaders who have completed the mandatory Part I,II& III of the Wood badge training.

4. To crown the meeting was the Birthday Celebration of the incumbent SSC; Alhaji Olohuntoyin O. Adebesin (WB). The State Scout Commissioner was joined by other April Celebrants and members of the management committee in the cutting of the Birthday cakes. 

The Meeting was a well attended one as usual and it had notable members of the State Scout Council which included the Former SSC, LSSC; Engr. Gilbert O. Akinlawon, Former State Treasurer, LSSC; Sir. Ayorinde Thomas, NEC, TSAN; Deputy Chief Commissioner, TSAN; Prince James A. Oyelami (LT), Engr. B.O.A Oyetayo (MNAAPE), Former National Training Commissioner, TSAN; Mr. Idowu I.A Esan (LT) and over Sixty other members of the State Management Committee  which cut across State Headquarter Commissioners and their Assistant.

In their separate remarks, Engr. Gilbert Akinlawon expressed his gladness for the developments taking place in the HQ and expressed his joy having handed over the CofO of the Lagos State Scout Council Headquarters to a Trusted and reliable hand, a virtue he emphasized as been important to possess as a Scout. He thanked the Incumbent SSC; Alhaji Olohuntoyin Adebesin for what he is doing for humanity and prayed that God will continue to prosper him, his family and the State Scout Council. 

The Deputy Chief Commissioner in his remark opined that he never knew where the CofO was and thanked the Former SSC and Treasurer for the solid foundation their administration laid for the State as it was their foundation that led to the  physical developments of today. He concluded that he was proud to have served in the administration of the Former SSC at different departments.

Sir Ayorinde Thomas in his remark could not hide his feelings as to how surprised he was with the positive changes he saw at the meeting. He wished the administration well and urged them to continue the better work they are doing as they are making the sacrifice today for a peaceful tomorrow.
