JOTA-JOTI 2025 Satellite Communications

JOTA is usually held in High Frequency (HF) but rarely in satellite. This project is started by introducing scouts to satellite communications using simple but effective antenna and radio. This project is executed by using amateur radio satellites such as IO-86 and ISS to do JOTA by voice and SSTV. Scouts can listen and practice their communication skills by listening to satellite communication and receiving SSTV pictures. Through this project, it is concluded that satellite communications during JOTA is an interesting activity. Scouts can learn how to do emergency communication using satellite, receiving pictures that can be used to simulate emergency conditions and sending pictures in real time using amateur radio satellite.
