International Mother Language Day was Celebrated in Ogun State , Nigeria on February 21st, 2017. The theme choosen for their Celebration was "Yoruba Language, My inheritance, My identity". As we are aware that WOSM identifies with United United Nations to commemorate this historic day, in this vein Ogun State Scout Council are not left out, activities marking the day included recitation of Scout promise in our mother tongue, playlet, beauty contest, masquerade display, cultural dance , and many more.
