Inspired by WOSM, Messengers of Peace, BSA, DSA, and SSA, the Scout Unit of Samcholing Middle Secondary School, Trongsa, organized an International Day of Peace celebration on 21st September 2025 under the theme “Act Now for a Peaceful World.” The project aimed to raise awareness about peace among students, promote teamwork, friendship, and respect for diversity, and empower Scouts to take meaningful action for a peaceful world. The celebration included various activities involving different classes, with Class VII creating a Peace Tree, Class VIII presenting a role play on peace, Class IX engaging in a dialogue on peace, and Class X creating peace-themed posters. Through the project, participants learned that peace education is a mindful and multidimensional process, while leadership and collaboration are crucial for achieving meaningful outcomes. The project also highlighted that structured planning and active participation can greatly enhance the impact of peace-related activities.
