Dear Scouts! The Association of Scouts of Azerbaijan invites you to take part in international scout camp “Wonderland Azerbaijan 2016” which will be held in Ganja, Hajikand, during 16-24 July in 2016. Brief Information: First international scout camp, Wonderland was held in Shaki in 2013 which was supported by The Ministry Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan Republic. Since then wonderland has become an annual international scout camp. Next scout camp was held in South part of Azerbaijan in 2014 where 208 scouts attended from all scout regions. Last scout camp was held in Gadabay in 2015 where 230 scouts attended. This year we have decided to organize scout camp in Ganja, Hajikand. Ganja was chosen as The European Youth Capital for 2016. So we decided to set up our tents in that marvelous city. Ganja is an ancient city of Easten part of the country which is full of historical and religious monuments like Juma Mosque, Shaykh Ibrahim and Nizami Ganjavi mausoleums that belong to 19th century, 16th centuries Imamzade, city bathrooms, mediaeval tower, gravel-mounds of bronze age and so on. The regional flora and fauna is very diverse and reach. Goygol reserve is like 25 km far from Ganja where Goygol Lake locates. Kurekchay River, which is 115 km long, flows through Goygol reserve. Beside Goygol Lake there are Maralgol Lake, Qush Gol Lake, Qaragol Lake, Aggol Lake, Shamligol Lake, and Tourist Gol Lake in Goygol reserve. Dates: Camp consists of 3 parts: - 9-15 July construction of the campsite - 16-24 July camp - 25-26 July demolish of campsite Campsite: Hajikend, Ganja GPS coordinates: 40.511862, 46.315647 (https://www.google.com/…/@4…/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0) Age Limits: - participants: 11-17 age; - STAFF Volunteers: above 18 Accommodation: ASA will provide tents (If you want to bring your own tent let us know beforehand) Participation Fee: - 50 euros (includeds local transportation in Azerbaijan, meals during the camp, participation in all activities during the camp, t-shirts and other printing materials) Activities: Pioneering, handicrafts, horse riding, Archery, shooting, trekking, hiking to Maralgol Lake and Goygol lake, sport games, Cultural and Hstorical City tours, extreme overnight activities, orienteering and other adventures.
