Ikot Ekpene Local Association is a Scout group overseen by the Akwa Ibom State Scout Council of The Scout Association of Nigeria. She is saddled with the task of organizing registering, and coordinating scouts into groups, and also training them. Among her several programme is the day seminar on messengers of Peace help on Friday, 16th September, 2016. The training was piloted by reputable and trained leaders, some of which include the District Commissioner Ikot Ekpene; Mr Kufre Umoanawan, Mr Solomon Etim; the National Headquarters Commissioner Messengers of Peace Nigeria, and several others. The training was attended by a total of 7 scout leaders, 6 Patrol leaders and 5 Patrol seconds.
