We started this project to help our Grade V students learn beyond the classroom through nature, adventure, teamwork and scouting. The hike to Totpulung Lhakhang helped them build confidence, learn practical skills, practise safety and discipline, and create meaningful memories.

Throughout the project, we learned that learning can happen beyond the classroom. We learned the importance of teamwork, communication, discipline, safety, leadership and responsibility. We also learned how to overcome challenges together, appreciate nature, and gain confidence through real-life experiences.

We carried out the project through planning, teamwork and active participation. Students hiked to Totpulung Lhakhang, learned scouting skills, safety practices and teamwork, and reflected on their experiences and lessons learned.
