Hands-on Woodbadge fun & learning at Bukit Putus
OCT 14, 2017, BUKIT PUTUS - Adult Scout Leaders from 15 Troops representing six of nine Scouting districts in Negeri Sembilan thoroughly enjoyed their hands-on Woodbadge sessions, held for the past three days on the grounds of Negeri Sembilan State Scout Camp, nearby Kuala Pilah.
The leaders were from the Scouting Districts of Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Jempol, Jelebu, West Seremban and East Seremban. The session which ended today will resume on October 26, 2017. Scouts Association of Malaysia Negeri Sembilan State Training Unit Chairman Assistant State Scout Commissioner Aziruddin Abd Aziz who lead the Woodbadge sessions were assisted by other members of the state's Adult Scout Leaders Training Unit Assistant State Scout Commissioners Abd Rahim Pendek, Saiful Izham and Chooi Yew Tzen.
The Woodbadge course participants are currently in the third phase of their year-long practical training and observation. In this session, they were exposed and brushed up on numerous skills including pioneering, knots and lashing, first aid, CPR, staff drills, campcraft, organisational techniques as well as briefed about the results from the recently concluded 41st World Scout Conference. Everyone looked forward to 25th World Scout Jamboree 2023 South Korea and wished all the newly elected World Scout Committee members a fruitful and productive term.
