Global Peace Day ✌️
Taba Dramtoe Primary School observed Global Peace Day on 19th September 2025 with the participation of 165 students, 15 Scout Leaders, and 2 LTs. The event was led by Ms. Dhan Maya Monger, BULT. The aim of the program was to spread the message of peace, unity, and harmony, and to remind everyone about the importance of living together with respect and kindness. The objectives were to raise awareness about peace in daily life and the world, to encourage students to practice kindness, tolerance, and understanding, to inspire them to contribute towards a peaceful society, and to promote responsibility through a cleaning campaign.
The program began with the Principal lighting a butter lamp, symbolizing wisdom, purity, and peace. Students then delivered speeches highlighting the importance of peace in the present world, followed by a short talk on the significance of the day. A special prayer was also offered for peace in Bhutan and across the globe. To conclude the event, a cleaning campaign was organized within the school campus, where students, Scout Leaders, and LTs actively took part in cleaning the surroundings. This activity reinforced the idea that peace should also be reflected in maintaining a clean and harmonious environment.
Overall, the program was successful in teaching the values of peace, unity, and responsibility, and left a positive impact on all the participants.
