As was done internationally across the globe, The International Women Day was also celebrated in Bhutan. This day was celebrated to reflect on the progress made towards achieving gender equality and also to appreciate the accomplishments of women in different fields. The highlight of the event was a seminar on the status of women and girls in Bhutan where students of Shaba Higher Secondary School of Paro district proposed their strategies of brining about positive changes. This day was a tribute to all the selfless and courageous women who have toiled to fight for equality and justice.
