Ghana Holds Woodbadge Training

The main objective of the woodbadge was to train leaders to specially acquire the needed skills in scouting to be able to manage their units as well as having more leaders with woodbadge to boast the Adult in Scouting program. The training also seek to address our GSAT program areas of Dimension 02,Dimension 06 and Dimension 08. The woodbadge was held in a five-day camp of which about 32 participants were drawn from the regions in Ghana.The training took place at the Ghana Scout Association national training center at Sakykrom,Nsawam in the Eastern Region.It was organised in collaboration of Africa Support Center. The main resource person was Richard Iyaya from Nairobi.Participants were put in sub-camps in their various patrol.Topics discused were compassing,pioneering,unit management,resource mobilisation,first aid,Child Safety etc. The training was climaxed with an over nite hike of which scouts performed different activities such as health talks,talks on scouting etc with the villages they visited.
