"Empowering scouts; leadership through woodbadge"

What inspired you to take up the project?

I was inspired to undergo Woodbadge Training to deepen my leadership skills and better support the growth of young Scouts. I wanted to learn advanced methods in youth engagement, outdoor leadership, and value-based mentoring so I can guide students with confidence, purpose, and professionalism. The desire to contribute meaningfully to the Scouting movement and to help shape responsible, resilient young people motivated me to pursue this training.

What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?

Through the Woodbadge Training, I gained strong leadership skills rooted in the principles of Scouting. I learned effective ways to engage and motivate young people, manage teams, and create safe and inclusive learning environments. The training strengthened my understanding of outdoor leadership, risk management, and the importance of preparedness during activities.

Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?

I completed a week-long Woodbadge Training that strengthened my leadership skills in youth engagement, team management, safety, and outdoor activities. I am committed to applying these skills to strengthen the Scouting programme in my school.
