ECO-TABANG LIGHT | Parañaque City Eagle Scouts
Philippines is a archipelagic country, near in oceans and seas. Every year almost 25 typhoons hit the country and some areas in the Philippines got devastated. That case, many Filipinos lost their properties and needs in life. Parañaque City Eagle Scouts is a community based scouting in Parañaque City. One of their advocacies is the Solar Lamp.
The main goal is to bring the light and give hope to those areas affected by the calamities. This light symbolize that every human being who fall into darkness there's always a hand to lift them up again no one left behind.
Typhoon Ulysses with international name Typhoon Vamco, a powerful and deadly Category 4-equivalent typhoon that struck the Philippines. Parañaque City Eagle Scouts decided to donate a solar lamp with the partnership of Brighton Venturer 1012, Messenger of Peace - Philippines, SEED4Com and Mary Immaculate Parish church. The group already gave solar lamps at San Mateo, Rizal and Cagayan Valley. They conduct also a small talk to teach the community how the solar lamp works.
This project is related to Scout Go Solar with the partnership with Messenger of Peace - Philippines, Sct. Ian Olivarez is a Messenger of Peace Ambassador and Go Solar Apprentice. He and his community based scouting group initiate the project.
Having a good idea, passion to help other people and to have a partnership with private sectors and local government units with having one goal and objective, this kind of project is impossible.
