COVID-19 (Symptoms & Prevention)

Corona Virus name came from the Latin word “Corona”, It means “The Crown”. Coronavirus looks like a Crown. In the mid-’60, Coronavirus first time invented as the virus of Chicken. Till now 7 types of Coronaviruses have been detected which can easily infect a human body. In the years 2002 and 2012 respectively SARS and MARS were also categorized in the group of Corona Virus. The recent Corona Virus named 2019-nCov (Novel Corona Virus) which has been detected at the end of 2019 in Wuhan, Hubei in China. It’s also named COVID-19 by World Health Organization (WHO). Till 28 March 2020, 03:12 pm GMT+6 COVID-19 has spread over 200 countries in the world, death numbers are more than 28,500 and 512,700 confirmed cases of COVID-19. It’s been suspected that primarily COVID-19 has spread from Bat soup in Wuhan, China.

Symptoms of COVID-19

Infected people may be sick with the virus for 1 to 14 days before developing symptoms. People may experience cough, fever, tiredness, and difficulty of breathing (severe cases)

More than 80% of people recover from the disease without needing special treatment.

 COVID-19 might be serious for older people, and people with other medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease).

 

Prevention from COVID-19

 You can protect yourself and help prevent spreading the virus to others if you:

Do

-       Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub

-       Cover your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow when you cough or sneeze

-       Avoid close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell

-       Stay home and self-isolate from others in the household if you feel unwell

Don't

Touch your eyes, nose, or mouth if your hands are not clean
