Bawang-Kalpataru Work Unit of Kwarcab Banjarnegara has held a Service Camp at General Sudirman Mrica dam for three days (10/13-15/2017). There were at least 500 scouts joining on that event as the representative from each district in Banjarnegara. The guidance of Kalpataru Work Unit of Banjarnegara, Eko Yusfianto said that the service camp focused on the skill, capacity and knowledge of the participants and also as the care action for nature conservantion. The real action of this event were clean action around the dam area and also the plantation of 280 young coconut trees. "We wish that this event will raise our awareness for all the participants to plant in their home, school and any kinda of their surrounding as the manisfestation of conservation and natural caring," said him Beside the provisions, knowledge and scouting skills, there is also orientation competition about natural caring and making recycle handicraft. General Manager of PT Indonesia Power UBP Mrica, Adi Rekno said that he support very much the event held by Kalpataru Work Unit. In addition, Indonesia Power has a Hijaunesia program in collaboration with some instances who concern with natural conservation and river flowing area in Banjarnegara. Indonesia Power has made a green conservatory at upper course by planting coffee. For the time being, Hijaunesia Power has made a young coconut as the icon since it has been rare and need to be conserved. The vice regent as Wakamabicab Banjarnegara, Syamsudin hopes and persuades all Banjarnegara people to plant the tree so that Banjarnegata as conservation regency can be reached in the next future. This Kalpataru event can be a real model in caring about our surrounding. Banjarnegara which is continuously having landslides in some area need a special treatment to cover this and scout movement as the main leader in building youth character should take over this project.
