To Celebrate World Environment Day, the Community Association of Sekawan Persada Nusantara (SAKO SPN) Depok City held Mangrove Planting

(23/5) SAKO SPN Depok City, Indonesia, held Mangrove planting to maintaining the sustainability of the marine ecosystem in around of Pari Island, Kepulauan Seribu. This event was held to celebrate World Environment Day. This social concern action and take care of maritime environment held on Sunday (23/5). Mangrove forest has essential role and advantages either directly or indirectly for around environment, especially for coastal people.

Mangrove seed planting is one of the ways to maintaining mangrove areas to take care of marine ecosystem sustainability, stabilize the environmental condition, and save all around the habitat in mangrove forest. Therefore, this ecosystem could be right and well-impacted for the coastal environment.

 

This action including educational activity and cultivates a sense of responsibility towards the environment and marine ecosystem. This event is purposed to rehabilitate the ecosystem in coastal areas and small islands against increasing coast-balancing and marine in around Kepulauan Seribu.
