Candlelight March for Pulwama Attack Martyrs

Rally in Commemoration of Pulwama Attack Date: 19.02.2019 Location: SHREE MAHESHWARI VIDYALAYA TO TARA SUNDRI PARK, KOLKATA. On 19th February 2019, the SMV Scout Group organized a rally to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the Pulwama attack. The purpose of the rally was to express solidarity with the Indian armed forces and condemn the heinous act of terrorism that took place in Pulwama. The event aimed to raise awareness about the sacrifices made by the soldiers and foster a sense of unity among the participants. The rally commenced at 6PM from Shree Maheshwari Vidyalaya and concluded at Tara Sundri Park. Members of the SMV Scout Group, along with local residents, students, and representatives from various organizations, participated in the event. The rally was organized in coordination with the local authorities and law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and peaceful gathering. The rally began with a brief opening ceremony, where the Scout Group Leader delivered a heartfelt speech, emphasizing the significance of remembering and honoring the martyrs of the Pulwama attack. The national anthem was sung by all participants, evoking a sense of patriotism and unity. The rally participants carried banners and posters displaying messages condemning terrorism and expressing solidarity with the armed forces. These visual aids aimed to create awareness among the onlookers and passersby about the purpose of the rally. The participants raised slogans and chanted patriotic and anti-terrorism slogans throughout the rally. Phrases such as "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" (Victory to Mother India) and "Vande Mataram" (I bow to thee, Mother) echoed in the air, showcasing the fervor and determination of the attendees. At a designated point during the rally, a solemn candlelight vigil was held to honor the martyrs. Candles were lit, and a minute of silence was observed, allowing everyone present to reflect upon the sacrifices made by the soldiers and express their condolences to the bereaved families. The SMVSG rally in commemoration of the Pulwama attack was a resounding success, effectively conveying the message of unity and solidarity in the face of terrorism. The participants showcased their unwavering support for the armed forces and their commitment to eradicating terrorism from society.
