Be Prepared and Always Prepared As a Scout, we must always be prepared. Not only that. We also must always prepared, especially for Rovers and Senior Rovers, as one of their activities is community service. Being living in the “Ring of Fire” which meaning that natural disaster is commonly happen, Scouts in Indonesia must always prepared. Not only for themselves or for their family, but also prepared to help the community. Besides that, as Scouts activities mainly in outdoor area, they also should know the “Risk Management”, to prepare themselves for the worst. This is emphasized by the Chairman of the Gerakan Pramuka National Training Centre, Ganet Boedi Oetomo, when he opened the Search And Rescue (SAR) Training Course, held by the KH Agus Salim 05063-05064 South Tangerang Scout Group at the Witana Harja City Forest, Pamulang, South Tangerang, Banten Province of the Republic of Indonesia, on 28th January 2016. Also this training activity only held by a Scout Group, but the participants came from many places in Indonesia. Including from Bekasi (West Java Province) and West Sumatra Province, as well as from the Banten Province. Not less than 40 participants, Rovers and Senior Rovers, joined the training. Meanwhile, the instructor are some well known SAR trainer, both form Gerakan Pramuka and from outside the Scouts, like from the Navy, Police, and National SAR institution. Also present at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Gerakan Pramuka National Headquarters, Edita Rahaded, who in charge for the Youth Program, accompanied by the Vice Chairman of South Tangerang Scout District Headquarters, Sapta Mulyana. Several key figures in the South Tangerang city also joined the opening ceremony. The SAR training will be held until 31st January 2016. Before the activities, they must go through a several test, including physical test. Then in the training, they will learn many survival training, both in the land and in the water. After four days training, they must do several activities to completed 664 hours training until December 2016.
