Bamboo Survival Cooking

What inspired you to take up the project?

The project was inspired by the need to help students develop practical survival skills, teamwork, creativity, and confidence by using locally available natural resources such as bamboo and stones.

What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?

We learned that teamwork, creativity, and proper planning are essential for successful survival cooking. Students also learned to use natural resources wisely, work safely, maintain hygiene, and clean the environment after the activity.

Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?

We provided bamboo and stones for the activity. Each patrol arranged and brought the other necessary cooking materials themselves. Students worked together to prepare the cooking area, cook food using bamboo, and practise basic survival skills. After the activity, each patrol cleaned the area and restored it to its original condition.
