Awareness Program on Youth and crime
What inspired you to take up the project?
A Youth and Crime Awareness session during Youth Day aims to educate students about the causes, consequences, and prevention of youth involvement in crime. The session encourages students to recognize peer pressure, risky behaviours, online influences, conflict, and poor decision-making, while developing positive coping skills and responsible choices. It emphasizes self-respect, resilience, seeking help, and becoming responsible members of the community.
What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?
To enhance students’ awareness of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), personal safety, and healthy relationships.
To sensitize students on youth-related crime and encourage responsible decision-making.
To recognize and appreciate the contributions of DAISAN volunteers and peer helpers.
To strengthen collaboration among the school, RENEW CSC, Royal Bhutan Police, and youth volunteers in promoting youth wellbeing and safety.
Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?
