Art, Awareness, and Action for a Cleaner Wangchhu!

What inspired you to take up the project?

Driven by the need to protect the Wangchhu ecosystem, this initiative empowered local youth to lead the charge against water pollution. By blending education with a creative art competition, we turned environmental awareness into an engaging, community-wide movement for a greener future.

What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?

• Youth Power: Young people are not just the future—they are highly effective leaders right now when given the platform to drive community change. • Creativity Inspires Action: Blending serious environmental issues with creative outlets like art engages people far more deeply than standard lectures. • Local Responsibility: True conservation begins at home; protecting the Wangchhu river requires collective, consistent local ownership and effort.

Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?

On April 25th, a youth-led environmental initiative was successfully executed, focusing on water management awareness and community engagement. The event successfully combined education with creativity to foster a deeper commitment to a cleaner and greener future for the Wangchhu area.
