17TH ALL INDIA RAILWAY JAMBORETTE CONCLUDED JAMBORRETTE REPORT The 17th Indian Railway Jambotrette, was held at Maligaon, Guwahati, Assam from 4th to 8th January, 2016. The Jamborette was hosted by the BSG, N.F. Railway State. The Theme of the this Jamborette was – “SWACHHTA YUVAO KI PEHCHAN” The Jamborette was inaugurated by Shri H.K. Jaggi, Geneneral Manager, N.F. Railway hoisting the Jamborette Flag of 17th Indian Railways Jamborette of Bharat Scouts & Guides at Railway Stadium, Maligaon on 4th January, 2016. More than 2500 Nos. of Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers from the entire BSG, Indian Railways state took active participation in the Jamborette. The Colorful inaugural function was held at the N.F. R.S.A Stadium, Maligaon, Guwahati in presence of a large gathering which was followed by a colourful March-Past where the General Manger, of N.F. Railway Shri H.K. Jaggi took salute. Activities and Competition like Gate making, Musical Hungama, March Past and Colour party Competition, Quiz, Camping, Signaling, Rescue Work, Devotional Song, First Aid, Pioneering, Rangoli making, Exhibition cum Sales Stall, Nukkar Natak, Skill O Rama, Tradition Dress Competition, Food Carnival, Disaster Management, Water Bucket Relay, Make & Use, Back Woods man Cooking, HWB Reunion & Veteran Scouts/Guides Meet, Folk Dance, Camp Craft etc. were undertaken during the Jamborette. In the competetions, host contingent N.F.Railway stood the winner, followed by new zone East Coast Railway became runner in over all performances. At the Valedictory Function on 8th January, 2016 ,Shri H.K. Jaggi, Geneneral Manager, N.F. Railway was present as Chief Guest and Shri B.I. Nagarale, Chief National Commissioner, BSG, India was present there as the Guest of Honor. Dr. H.C. Das, Dy. National Commissioner(S), BSG, India and State Chief Commissioner, BSG, Assam State, Ms Ragini Yechury, Ex. Director, Railway Board, Mr. K.S. Jagarud, President of the BSG, N.F. Railway State, Mr. M.A.K.Mecci, National Secretary of Indian Scout & Guide Fellowship were present there as special Guests respectively. They all blessed the Participants of the Jamborette and appreciated the efforts of the Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers .In the evening of 8th January, 2016 on the occasion of Valedictory Function several Colorful programmes were presented by the Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers. All the VIP, Invitees, Staff Members, State Contingent Leaders were very pleased with the hospitalities provided by the BSG, N.F. Railway State.
