We started this project in August to be messengers of peace through a series of different service and public awareness projects. We did a flag ceremony for both the Arab-American Cultural Festival, to kick off the Michigan State Fair and also for our city's remembrance of the 9-11 Terrorist Attack. At all three events we set up a display of the Messenger of Peace projects going on around the globe. The last of our awareness projects was to hold a festival inviting all to come with their families and play on amusement rides, eat some good food and learn about Scouting's Messengers of Peace. We also dis a series of 7 Service Projects around our community to help make it a better place. We built meditation areas, restored a barn in the community farm, cleaned up our sponsors church properties. With the projects combined we had 78 Scouts and 32 Adult Leaders participate and become Messengers of Peace. 1186 hours were logged in our project.
