Sole Hope

Scouts and family, from Pack 907, traced and cut pieces of denim (recycled blue jeans) and plastic to create shoe kits. These kits were then sent to the Sole Hope organization who distributed them to seamstresses in Uganda. After the shoe kits are sewn into wearable, closed-toe shoes, they are given to Ugandans to prevent the infestation of jiggers in their feet. Sole Hope also operates clinics that clean the feet of the infected Ugandans and remove the jiggers so the people can reclaim their lives.
