This is the second edition of the project realised by 12th Mutilevel Scouting Team 'Robber Band' of Danuta Siedzikowna 'Inka' from Handzlowka. The project is a part of mini grant '#CHANGE' financed with the usage of the resources from WOSM 'Messengers of Peace' programme. Having bought the equipment that was necessary to accomplish the project, we carried out three series of first aid training. We also trained people how to use barometer, glucometer and the device which measures cholesterol and triglyceride. First we trained older scouts and trekkers. Thanks to this, they could share the knowledge with younger girl and boy scouts from our scouting team.On the third training the scouts shared acquired skills with the Cubs. During the course of the project, in April and May, we conducted four actions of blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol and triglycerine measurement. The actions, in which took part about 121 people altogether, were turned for the residents of Handzlowka and surrounding region. The final stage of the project completion was conducting the training on first aid. We also taught desiorous people from Handzlowka how to use devices which measure cholesterol, triglyceride, glucose and blood pressure. Unfortunately, the resources from MoP wasn't enough to underwrite the cost of buying sufficient number of stripes to carry out blood tests. That is why we organized the collection of money for this cause. As a result we could underwrite at least the part of the expenses which our scouting team put up to buy additional stripes. It was possible to realize the project thanks to cooperation with certified nurse scoutsmaster Renata Salach HO, district nurse Malgorzata Klonicka, first aider from Volunteer Fire Brigade in Handzlowka scout Piotr Puziewicz and the involvement of first aider from Polish Scouting and Guiding Asoociation guide Malgorzata Babiarz HR. Taking part in the project gives us an opportunity to organize a rental place for the devices bought with the resources acquired as a part of 'Messengers of Peace' project under 'I help because I want. I want because I can. (vol. 2)'.
