APR Ticket to Life Project in the Philippines (Scholarship Fund)
The long term goal of this project is to enable a target of 200 children and young people in Especially Difficult Circumstances (CEDC) in the Philippines, aged between 11/12 and 15/16 years, to meet their needs, develop a plan for their lives and start a meaningful life through Scouting that will prepare them as responsible adults.
At the end of three years, there are four major objectives targeted to be achieved for this project, namely:
1. To continue to operate the four existing Scout Troop in three cities in the Philippines – Manila (1); Davao (1); Zamboanga (2) for three years, from 2014 to 2017 with a target of 10% of the Scouts is advanced to the next rank;
2. To expand the project in two cities in the Philippines: Tacloban City and Cebu City with a target of 32 street children each city, registered to Scouting;
3. To provide Scholarship to college for 14 Scouts and to vocational skills for three Scouts;
4. To provide livelihood opportunities for 20 street families of Scouts provide livelihood opportunities for the Scouts and their families.
