#17th National Jamboree of our Indian Contingent was held at Mysuru , Adkanahalli from december 29th 2016 - january 4th 2017 , i was really excited to be a part of my karnataka state contingent in representing my Karnataka State Team for The National Jamboree as a Valuable Service Rover from our Bangalore North District ,.....Starting the year 2017, the 17th National Jamboree echoed the value of unity for a promising future, using the theme “Together for Better Tomorrow”. The national Jamboree was held on 29 December 2016 - 4 January 2017 at Mysuru, Karnataka State, with around 25,000 participants, Guides and leaders of The Bharat Scouts & Guides (BS&G) and over 1,000 overseas participants and guests joined the adventure. At the opening ceremony, flags of the 17th National Jamboree and the BS&G were lowered down at the arena signaling the official start of the adventure. In his message sent out to BS&G, Regional Director J. Rizal C. Pangilinan expressed his hope that young people will be inspired more to live out the values of Scouting. Hon'ble President of India and BS&G Chief Patron Sri Pranab Mukherjee, graced the ceremony and Regional Scout Committee member and Chief National Commissioner Shri. B.I. Nagarale listened to the Rovers and Rangers during "Extended Youth Forum". Really proud to be a part of service team of national team in taking up jamboree duties to look after the needs of the jamboree....against fullfilling the needs as by completing pioneering projects from my district by utilising my unit members as good skilled pioneers for planning suitable jamboree pioneering models for exhibition display....and also rendered valuable service in jamboree....such as water duty , sanitation duty ,welcoming and taking initiative of Delegates for welcoming them to attend our jamboree a prestigious job .thanks all for best support and encouragement given to us during #17TH NATIONAL JAMBOREE. TOTALLY 22 MEMBERS FROM MY UNIT INCLUDING ME UNDER THE INITIATIVE ME WE HAD TAKEN ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN RENDERING VALUABLE SERVICES AT 17TH NATIONAL JAMBOREE FOR CONTINOUS OF 12 DAYS ...FROM 25TH DEC 2016 - 06TH JAN 2017 THANKS ALL FOR BEST SERVICES ALSO REGISTERED 25 SCOUTS AND 15 RANGERS TO M.O.P AND TOOK AN INITIATIVE PART TOWARDS PARTICIPATING IN M.O.P ACTIVITY AND FREE BEING ACTIVITY.
