The Local Ordinary of the Catholic Diocese of Uyo His Lordship Most Rt. Rev. Dr. John Ebebe Ayah was invested as the patron of the Scout Association of Nigeria in Akwa ibom state Today 16 January, 2018. The event took place at the Bishop’s office in Cardinal Ekanem Pastoral centre, Dominic Utuk Avenue, Uyo, Akwa ibom State, Nigeria. Dignitaries present at the noble event were as follows: Members of the state scout council led by Pastor Wilfred Kenrick Udo (ASSC) included Elder Samuel Essiet (Secretary), Elder Uwem Udoidiong, Mr. Charles Ntuen, Mr. Omodot Umoh, Mr. Pius Udofia and too patrons; Dr. Sylvester Akpan and Barr. Ekemini Ubah. The Bishop in his response promised to assist the spread of scouting in the church and advised that the leadership of the Association should continue in their good work of training the young ones.
