NAKBORO 2023
The Eclaireuses Eclaireurs De France (EEDF), a non-confessional scout and guide association, in partnership with the Scoutisme Béninois organised two key trainings: an International Training of Trainers (ITT) and a Messengers of Peace Traning (MoP).
Both trainings form a NAKBORO event.
NAKBORO means "growing together" and contributes to sustainable development and world peace through ITT and MoP.
NAKBORO was first organised with EEDF and Moroccan Scout Organisation in 2019 in Salé.
In 2023, a new international team planned the NAKBORO event for 60 trainees:
- 17 to 26 years old scouts and guides ready to build projects about peace and SDGs;
- national scout and guide leaders wanting to build national training programmes linked to WOSM programmes and to SDGs.
WOSM and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) generously co-founded NAKBORO.
Trainees enjoyed the training contents based on WOSM programmes and the international dimension of Nakboro. They were able to discover and learn from various scouting realities.
Active training methods, daily scout organisation, face-to-face meeting and the prior share of supports foster learning.
Trainnig is key to increase awareness and to support individual and collective ambitions.
Numerous trainees are grateful for the international training team and for the financial support.
