Iftar Distribution – 2026
The main motivation of this project was to spread the spirit of kindness, compassion, and sharing during the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan teaches us the importance of helping those who are less fortunate and ensuring that everyone can break their fast with dignity. As the trainer of BIAM Model School & College Scout Group (BMSCSG), I took the initiative to organize an Iftar distribution program to support people in need and encourage young scouts to participate in humanitarian activities and community service.
The project was successfully carried out with the support of dedicated scouts and volunteers. Two Senior Patrol Leaders (SPL) — MD. Mir Ashraful Islam and Muntasir Abdullah Ehan, two Patrol Leaders (PL) — Arafat Hossain and Farhan Abrar Shayan, and Assistant Patrol Leader (APL) — Anaya Sabrin Tanisha, actively participated in the distribution. We also received valuable support from Rover Member MD. Raiyan Mollah of Samatat Open Scout Group.Together, we prepared and distributed 50 Iftar packages among people in need in the areas of Banglamotor, New Eskaton, and Mogbazar. The distribution was conducted in an organized and respectful manner to ensure that the food reached the intended beneficiaries efficiently.
This project provided valuable learning experiences for all participants. We learned the importance of teamwork, leadership, and effective coordination while organizing and implementing a community service activity. It also strengthened our sense of empathy and social responsibility towards disadvantaged people in society. Moreover, the project demonstrated how small initiatives can create a meaningful impact and inspire scouts to continue engaging in humanitarian work in the future.
