JOTA-JOTI 2026: Scouts Without Borders

JOTA-JOTI 2026 was an incredible opportunity to connect with Scouts from Italy, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Sweden, exchange ideas, and learn about different Scouting cultures and traditions from around the world. During these international conversations, we discussed Scouting culture and heritage, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Messengers of Peace (MoP), and the urgent need to address climate change. We shared our experiences, explored how Scouts contribute to their communities, and discussed how young people can become responsible global citizens. These interactions highlighted the power of international friendship, cultural exchange, and teamwork in building a peaceful and sustainable world. We recognised that although our countries and traditions may differ, we share common values of service, friendship, environmental responsibility, and peace. As a Scout from India and a Scouts for SDGs and Messengers of Peace Coordinator, I felt proud to represent the spirit of Scouting and share ideas for achieving the SDGs through local action and global cooperation. JOTA-JOTI 2026 reminded me that Scouting goes beyond borders. By connecting young people worldwide, we can inspire climate action, promote peace, preserve cultural heritage, and work together towards a better future for everyone. Think Globally, Act Locally, Build Sustainably. Together for Peace, Together for the SDGs!
