Week 3 at Netaji Subhash Welfare Society
Our inspiration stemmed from a deep-seated belief that every child deserves more than just survival—they deserve to be cherished. Moving beyond basic aid, we were driven to address the emotional void often found in institutional care. We realized that consistent nurturing and a joyful environment are as vital as health and hygiene. This project was born to bridge that gap, ensuring the children at Netaji Subhash Welfare Society feel truly seen, valued, and empowered by a steady human presence.
In Week 3 of our service at Netaji Subhash Welfare Society, we deepened our engagement through active presence. We conducted a one-day intensive visit, blending basic educational support with health and hygiene workshops. To spark joy, we introduced new interactive activities and indoor games, shifting the focus from routine to play. By sharing these fresh experiences, we created a vibrant environment where the children felt energized, engaged, and genuinely connected to our team.
We learned that while resources provide comfort, consistent presence provides healing. We discovered that a simple game or a listening ear can restore a child’s dignity. The deepest lesson was that love isn't just a feeling—it’s the most powerful tool for building a child's resilience.
