The Scout Environmental Care Project

Useful for the Community and Beneficial for the surrounding Environment
The Scout Environmental Care Project was carried out by 50 Junior High School Scout participants in East Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. The activity took place from 4 July to 10 July, 08:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (WITA). Before planting, participants received environmental education about the importance of keeping green spaces and learned the proper way to plant fruit tree seedlings
Each participant was provided with healthy seedlings, compost, gardening tools, and water for planting. Participants planted the seedlings by digging 20–30 cm holes, placing the seedlings upright in the soil, covering the roots with soil mixed with compost, pressing the soil gently, and watering the plants to help them grow well. After planting, the seedlings were checked to ensure they were stable and healthy
