Every year 2nd june is celebrated as social forestry day in Bhutan coinciding with coronation of His Majesty the fourth King Jigme Singye Wanchuk. Students around the country celebrate the day with planting trees. Scouts from 13 schools under Samtse District celebrated the day by planting tree at Yoeseltse Middle Secondary School. We invited forestry officials from gewog to share about the proper plantation of trees for healthy growth.
