“Knock for Nature: Say No to Single-Use Plastic”

Single-use plastic is harming our environment and future. As Scouts and Rovers, we are motivated to create awareness at the grassroots level through door-to-door interaction, encouraging people to adopt eco-friendly alternatives and build a cleaner, plastic-free community.
As part of the "Plastic Free Campaign," Revolver wore clothes from door to door for the first time. Inspired by MissionLife, 50 Scouts & Rovers students participated in the campaign where They spread the message of shunning single-use plastic by distributing cloth bags door to door.Information was provided about the health and environmental harm caused by single-use plastic. The adverse effects of plastic bags, such as reduced soil fertility and animal deaths.
Through this door-to-door awareness drive, we learned the importance of direct communication in bringing real change. We understood that many people are aware of plastic pollution but lack practical alternatives. The activity improved our communication, teamwork, and leadership skills while boosting our confidence. We also realized that small efforts at the household level can create a big environmental impact, and consistent awareness is key to building a plastic-free society.
