It was the first time happened in this school, Gonpa Singma Lower Secondary School under Pema Gatshel. Many students were very excited to know about the day when they saw many banners and slogans displayed around the assembly ground. To mark the day, one of the scouts shared about the day and a scout leader spoke about peace in our Bhutanese context. Our main event was begun only after lunch, which was community service at Youngla Gonpa. Gonpa is located about 5 km away from the school where we took about 1 hour and 15minutes to reach. After arrival of all, we divided into four groups to do cleaning around the Lhankhang. All participants vigorously engaged in the service and could collect 20 numbers of sacks full of various wastes.
