Community Service for Desa Putera Orphanage
The motivation for starting this project is to raise awareness regarding community life. As Scouts, we, who also live in society, must learn to critically assess the issues around us. Naturally, action is needed to address these issues, one way being through this community service.
This project involved mobilizing boy and girl scouts to first get to know the community by using public transportation and shopping for basic necessities at traditional markets. Afterward, upon arrival at the orphanage, donations were handed over, consisting of previously purchased basic necessities, and performances were performed to entertain the children.
Through this project, I learned to be more critical in analyzing societal issues. As Scouts, we must care about and impact others through our actions. In this way, we can contribute to building a better and more prosperous society.
