CLEANING SERVICE AT JAMTSHOLING,GYALSUNG (2ND POP)
During the 2nd Cohort of Passing Out Parade at Jamtsholing Gyalsuung, I got the opportunity to listen one of the inspiring speeches from His Majesty The Fifth King. In his speech, he quoted,"It is the responsibility of every Bhutanese to not only protect what we have, but also ensure progress and continuity." I was inspired to do this cleaning campaign so that we can collect the wastes, recycle it into a useful item, and sell it to the public to earn some money.
During our morning assembly at our school, the principal announced that there will be 2nd Cohort of Passing Out Parade of Gyalsups (Cadets) held at Jamtsholing on 23rd March, 2025. The scouts of our school and I gathered at the football field and planned about starting a cleaning campaign at the Cohort. During the 2nd Cohort, the programs went successfully till the end. Then, we noticed that the stadium was littered by the public so, this was the opportunity to do our roles as being a scout.
From this cleaning campaign, I learned that the wastes that we collected can bring us a small fortune. Being as a scout, we know the basic techniques of how to make the raw materials into a useful item. So, we recycled the wastes and turn it into hand bags, school bags, and pencil bags. Not only that, I also learned doing this campaign helps in promoting leadership qualities, creativity and clean surrounding
