Wildlife Photography Training for TCS Employees
WWF-India, Tamil Nadu State Office in association with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) organized half day training programme on wildlife photography for their employees and their family members conducted. A total of 78 employee and their family participated in the training session.
INAUGURAL SESSION
The workshop began with welcome address by Mr. S. Saravanan, Senior Education Officer, WWF-India, Tamil Nadu State Office, he welcomed the participants and explained the workshop details and visit the Arignar Anna Zoological Park. Following with the brief introductory talk he requested Dr. Manimozhi, Biologist, Arignar Anna Zoological Park to deliver talk on Zoo Management and its importance. Dr. Manimozhi explained well on the Zoological Park history, development, activities, management and also the importance to the participants. He also informed the group members about the ZOO volunteering programme and Zoo animal adopt programme. After the talk TCS HR Team has spoken with their employee on the safety and importance tips visiting the Zoological Park.
Ms. Srilekha has addressed the members on wildlife photography techniques and skills to them. Following with this discussion the members were divided into two groups and visited various section of the Zoo. During the visit Ms. Srilekha and Mr. Saravanan, has discussed lot on the wildlife, their behaviour, habitat, distribution and also how to capture the pictures in the camera in wild. Half of the employee has brought their camera and remaining were used their mobile during the photography. Finally, few of them has returned and discussed the doubts and query on photography with WWF team and resource person. Mr. Saravanan, has thanked all the members and he asked the employee to choose their best photography (five) and send to WWF for assessing the photograph.
