Tree Plantation Campaign in school
The encouragement and guidance of our Scouts Leaders and teachers helped me jump into this work. As a Scout, my sense of responsibility towards the environment, the mindset of building a green and beautiful world and protecting biodiversity inspired me to join this activity. The opportunity to be a part of a good cause together with other Scouts encouraged me greatly.
Palash flower and betel nut tree seedlings are collected from the local nursery.The necessary tools for planting trees such as spades,hoe,fertilizer and water are provided.We clean all the weeds and dirt. Then we dig a hole of sufficient depth for planting the tree seedlings with a spade.We carefully plant the trees seedlings by mixing sufficient organic fertilizer in the hole.The seedlings are planted straight and covered well with soil around them.Sufficient water is given to the trees.
I understand the role of tree plantation in protecting the environment. My idea about the fact that different types of plants and animals are an integral part of an ecosystem has become clearer. I have learned about the benefits of Palash and betel nut trees.I have realized the importance of working in a team. I have developed a special attraction towards the trees I have planted with my own hands and increased responsibility through their regular care.
