SCOUTS PARA SA KALIKASAN: Brigada, Puno, Pelikula
Showcasing their dedication, teamwork, and skills, 13 Senior Scouts from Holy Cross College actively took part in planning, organizing, and executing the “SCOUTS PARA SA KALIKASAN: Brigada, Puno, at Pelikula” project.
Aiming to promote environmental awareness, community service, and youth engagement, young leaders from the said school participated in three major activities such as Brigada Eskwela, Tree Planting, and Sinemamakakalikasan.
In their first activity — Brigada Eskwela, they did a clean-up drive and minor repairs inside their school premises before the opening of classes. Additionally, they also conducted a tree planting activity where they successfully planted a total of 30 tree seedlings. And for their last activity under the project, they promoted environmental awareness and encouraged environmental action by producing and screening a short film under the Sinemamakakalikasan program.
In this project, the young volunteers did not just ensure cleanliness, promote a greener and sustainable community, and raise awareness in environmental issues through their creation; they also accomplished their mission to empower the youth to become agents of change and responsible citizens.
