Life Leaders Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia

Indonesia is one out of 12 countries which implement LifeLeaders innitiatives with the support of Accenture. This innitiative allow us to facilitate Scout to enhance their life skills. Through 'Design Thinking' approach, Scouts learn creative and innovative problem solving. They learned how identified social-environmental problems, empowered themselves with particular skills, and create community projects.

As the national commissioner who appointed as the national coordinator, I need to spread this valuable initiative among Scouts in my country. The 'design thinking' is essential for Scouts in conducting their project in our community.

With the National LifeLeaders team, our strategy to achieve our goal are as follows:
-Planning with the National Core Team (2 of us are youth). The planing covered timeline to achieve the project's aim, including its KPIs.

- A national ToT involving 28 participants from 13 Provinces, and relevance national commissioners.

- The National team grew to 38 Scout members. Each participant implemented the project in their province, including forming their own success teams.

- Monitor and evaluate the project through a spreadsheet called ‘Project Control’ (accessible to all participants to update their progress).

- Conduct monthly National Team Check-In meeting.

Through this Project, it is not only for learning points for Scouts members and their leaders when applying Design Thinking to solve community issues, but also of me personally and our NSO. Among many learning points, here are the most learned aspect in implementing the project in indonesia:

- To achieve KPIs, team management and commitment, as well as strategic action, are needed.

- NSO Leadership and administrative support have an essential role in implementing the initiative nationally.

- The art of teamwork and management
