The leaders peace camp was organised at Balata Primary School from the 16th to 17th of June,2017 consisting of 18 leaders from various schools in Tavua /Vatukoula area to enhance their knowledge on peace promotion as well as gear them up with scouting skills for the betterment of scouting in Tavua / Vatukoula area. A total of 6 bases were organised under which 18 leaders were registered under scout.org. creativity, Ahele, scout theme song and other activities were carried out as well like knotting, camp fire and drills of conducting patrols system. the leaders paid a levy of $15(Fj) to cater for their meals and tokens. as a added boost to the program some head teachers also joined in the scouting activities to support scouting in Tavua/Vatukoula. as a result some leaders have started with their service project and service hours as well as trying to get more users registered to increase the stats for Tavua/ Vatukoula. thanks to the leaders and the host for their immense efforts in making the camp one of the memorable events in the scouting calendar and asked the Tavua/Vatukoula scouters council to have leaders camping every year to refresh the leaders on their duties and responsibilities.
