Green Mosque: Building a Clean and Comfortable
Cirebon — From September 7 to 13, 2025, two Rover Scouts (Pramuka Penegak) carried out a community service project in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The initiative, titled “Green Mosque: Building a Clean, Comfortable, and Sustainable Place of Worship,” took place in a local mosque in Cirebon.
The project highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness and comfort in mosques as both centers of worship and community activity. Their activities included mosque cleaning, providing handwashing facilities, installing trash bins with waste separation, and planting greenery to create a fresh and sustainable environment.
This small-scale but meaningful initiative directly supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). Local residents expressed appreciation for the efforts of the two Rover Scouts, hoping such initiatives would inspire more youth involvement in community-based SDGs projects.
